PLYMOUTH Argyle are involved in 'numerous conversations' over new signings ahead of their return to the Championship for the 2023/24 season, according to director of football Neil Dewsnip.
The Pilgrims' primary focus so far this summer has been retaining players from the squad which won the League One title last term.
That has seen out-of-contract trio Ryan Hardie, Jordan Houghton and Dan Scarr all agree new deals, while Adam Randell has committed his future to the club until the summer of 2026.

Now, Dewsnip, manager Steven Schumacher and head of recruitment Jimmy Dickinson are busy holding talks about multiple potential new recruits.
Dewsnip told Plymouth Live: "We haven't signed anybody yet in terms of additional players but what we have done, and what the strategy always was, was to sort out a few bits and bobs in-house, which we have done, and as recently as yesterday with Adam.
"That was really important and we have done that. The next thing then, obviously, was always to add to the current squad.
"I have at the moment, along with Jimmy Dickinson and Schuey, numerous ongoing conversations about players. Some are difficult to progress because people are on holiday.
"And in this day and age it's complicated. There is a CEO (chief executive officer) that has to be involved, there is an agent that has got to be involved, there is a manager of a club who has to be involved, and that is before you get anywhere near the player."
