A PLYMOUTH school has been gifted a quirky vending machine aimed to make reading more enticing for children.
Lawyers from Plymouth-based international law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) swapped the office for the classroom to unveil the innovative machine.
St Peter’s Church of England Primary School, in Stonehouse, now has a book-vending machine thanks to WBD’s Plymouth office charity partner, the Plymouth Drake Foundation’s Promoting Children in Plymouth’s Story Telling and Book Gifting project.
Lawyers from the firm helped to unveil the vending machine and took part in an afternoon of storytelling with children from the school. The donation follows the office’s pledge to provide books to 27 schools in Plymouth last year.
