Magician pleased as straitjacket reappears again

LIFE is magic once again for Plymouth prestidigitator Mal Norton after he was reunited with his missing straitjacket.

An “odd set of circumstances” led to the prop being returned to Mr Norton after it was taken from outside his shop on the Barbican.

The professional magician said he was lost without the straitjacket which he used in shows and has been a talking point for passersby in front of his shop for a decade. But after PlymouthLive broke the story, a friend was able to return the straitjacket after a chance meeting in a pub with someone who knew who had it.

Mr Norton, who had informed police about the missing prop, is delighted to have it back. He said: “I feel fabulous. Traders on the Barbican are saying it should be outside the shop.”
