A MAN who was taken to Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital suffering head injuries following an altercation with another man in the Stoke area of Plymouth has died, an inquest has heard.
The short hearing at Plymouth Coroner’s Court noted how 50-year-old Stefan Shotton was born in London and resided at a property in Beaumont Street, Plymouth. Assistant coroner Louise Wiltshire noted that he passed away at Derriford Hospital on the evening of June 6. She noted he was single and registered sick by occupation.
The opening statement, released by the court following the public hearing, stated that the Stefan had been out with friends in Stoke on May 28 this year “when he became involved in an altercation with others”.
