PLYMOUTH MP Johnny Mercer is due to take part in a reality TV show, Banged Up, which sees him experience life in a UK prison cell.
The Conservative MP for Plymouth Moor View is voluntarily entering a cell in HMP Shrewsbury for a Channel 4 documentary series.
On the show, he will be joined by Neil Parish, a former Tory MP in Devon, Sid Owen, an actor from EastEnders, Peter Hitchens, a newspaper columnist, and Tom Rosenthal, who stars in Friday Night Dinner, reports The Times.
