The London-based arm of the global pizza chain saw a modest increase in turnover from $39.3m (£29.9m) to $39.6m (£30.2m), while its UK revenue rose from $13m (£9.9m) to $13.7m (£10.4m). However, sales across the rest of Europe dipped slightly from $26.2m (£20m) to $25.9m (£19.7m).
Pizza Hut Europe, which generates income through royalties and other earnings from its franchise operations, had suffered a pre-tax loss in 2022 due to an impairment loss of $135m (£103m) on intellectual property, not reflective of its actual or prospective business performance.
