SEVENTEEN-year-old Mackenzie Sargeant showed he has an eye for the spectacular in the Plymouth Open League Division A as he took out 106 at the first time of asking in just his second competitive match.

That effort, however, couldn't arrest Sargeant's Fawn A team's slump to an 8-3 defeat against Cherry Tree B, who leapfrog their opponents in the early standings.

Nick Bryant and Arthur Pearce (27.81) banded together to put away 1001 points in just 36 darts as Pearce finished that game off with a 108 checkout.

However, Pearce's Beacon Park champions of Division A last season succumbed to a first loss in 30 outings in the league as Weston Mill Oak Villa secured a 6-5 triumph.

After trialling 2-1 and 4-2, the away side fought back to lead 5-4 before Shane Roberts secured a 2-0 win in the final game of the night.

Gareth Hockings fired a 17-darter and a 97 checkout for Lugger B, who came away from their Devonport derby match with a 9-2 triumph over Ker St C.

Hockings' team-mate, Keith Johnson, showed his scoring prowess with a brilliant 180 for the title chasers who are now four off the top.

Two maximums were fired by Lee Medway for Fortescue in their visit to Pennycross that ended 6-5 to Medway's side thanks to Jordan Angear's 2-1 win in the last game with the scores tied at 5-5.

Legends Lounge OGs had Matt Bridge to thank for their 6-5 home win over Mainstone A after he secured a final leg shootout 2-1 individual success that gave the St Budeaux outfit their sixth point in the 11th tie.

Victory put on three maximums in their 7-4 away win at St Johnston A as Lee Doncaster, Lee O'Mahony and Neil White all plundered.

Sharon Jeavons showed her finishing prowess with the best checkout of all 17 in the game with an 83 kill for the defeated team, whilst the St Johnston B team secured a 7-4 success at Prince Maurice.

Dave Jarvis' 180 was the highlight of Falstaff's 7-4 home success against St Levans, whilst James Smith gave Lugger A the spoils against Prince Maurice FC.
