However the C’s second pair of Olga Rogers and Julie Wigmore comfortably won their rubber against D’s second pair of Gemma Cleland and Tracy Temperley. In the second rubbers Oonagh and Wendy took the win against Gemma and Tracy. Olga and Julie narrowly beat Mary and Nicky 10-6 in the deciding tiebreak to secure a win for the C team 56-37

Three of the four matches went to championship tiebreaks when Plympton D played Saltash A with Plympton winning all three and overall 60-26.

Plymstock A were very grateful to Looe for rearranging this match owing to the Plymstock Ladies being busy on the original date at the Take That concert. Nicky Slight and Jess Randell were too strong for Looe dropping only one set all evening helping Plymstock to win 47-35.

Devonshire A’s Sarah Jane Pritchard and Mae Dartnell took a set off Claire Bulford and Jane Yilmaz from Yelverton A which helped them take the victory 52-44 in Ladies Division 1.

Devonshire A’s Georgia Jones and Chris Parker took Sally Lewin and sub Sue Newberry of Mannamead A to three sets, but lost the Championship tiebreak and Mannamead won 69-13.

St Budeaux A were too strong for Ivybridge A winning 72-13.

It was a hard-fought match in Division 2 when Tavistock A played Plympton B. Two close tiebreaks for Tavistock’s Olivia Clark and Katy Bruce, only just losing one 12-10. Unfortunately Tavistock struggled to get a team together due to injury and holidays and Olivia bravely played even though she was suffering the after effects of food poisoning! Plympton B won 68-29.
