THREE people were taken to hospital after a blaze at a property in Plymouth which saw plumes of thick black smoke fill the air over a part of the city.
Fire crews battled a property fire in Whittington Street, overlooked by Central Park and not far from the city’s railway station, after it was sparked at around 9pm on Monday.
A number of homes were evacuated as a result of the fire. The blaze was caused by a fire in a tumble dryer and left the property’s conservatory severely damaged by smoke and flames.
