A LONG-standing Plymouth tropical fish seller is closing its doors at the end of this month, with the owner citing a hike in energy bills as well as a decline in the popularity of keeping the pets.
Bretonside Tropicals has been trading since 1986 but owner Jeremy Smale, now aged 64, has decided to close up shop due to escalating electric bills.
Bretonside Tropicals sells stunning exotic fish, tanks and aquariums, coldwater and ornamental fish, and accessories such as plants and fish food.
The business also offers expert advice on fish keeping, but the shop will be closing down for good on June 30.
