City gets adolescent-friendly hub near Rajdhani college

MODEL Adolescent Hub, an adolescent-friendly public space, has been developed at Rajdhani College frontage here under the Yuvascape-2025 drive to promote a more inclusive planning of the city.

BMC mayor Sulochana Das inaugurated the one-of-its-kind model hub recently. Developed by the Humara Bachpan Trust (HBT) in partnership with World Resources Institute (WRI) India and the BMC, the space, a part of Healthy Cities for Adolescents, aims to create safe, healthy and vibrant public spaces while empowering adolescents as 'Public Space Ambassadors' who actively participate in urban planning and decision-making processes, said officials of the HBT.
