Inaugurating the state-level celebration of national road safety month here, Majhi said, more than 47,000 lives have been lost in road accidents in the state in the last 10 years. "This is very worrying. Everyone should make efforts to reduce the number of deaths in road accidents. The time has come, road safety should be made a public movement," he said.
With the slogan 'Come Home Safe', the chief minister appealed everyone to follow the road safety rules and return home safely. He emphasised on taking this awareness message to every city and village and called upon individuals, institutions and organisations from all sections of the society to join the campaign.
