Tourists demand resumption of boating at Bhishmakere lake

The Basaveshwara statue in Bhishmakere has been attracting many tourists. The tourists who visit the statue also want to enjoy boat rides but there are no staff present to carry out boating operations. As a result, some tourists express disappointment after being told that the boating facility has been stopped at Bhishmakere for the last few months.

With the lake brimming with water, tourists and locals say that it's an ideal time to start boat rides.

Bhishmakere has emerged as a sought-after tourist destination with 150-180 people visiting during weekends. Earlier, the footfalls were below 50, but now the lake is attracting a large number of tourists. People from distant places come here to enjoy boat rides along with their families, but return disappointed.
