While two of the deceased were identified - Kumar (39) of Elumathur, in Nambiyur, Erode district and 10-month-old A Alia Shirin from Pandian Nagar the third, a woman, remains unidentified. Police suspect she might be the wife of Kumar.
According to police, the twofloored house where the explosion took place is owned by Karthik from Ponnammal Nagar in Pandian Nagar. Three rooms on the first floor were rented out to knitwear workers from Bihar and Odisha. Karthik lived on the ground floor with his wife Sathyapriya and their two college-going sons.

LTIMindtree net profit rises 7.7% to ₹1,251 crore
LTIMindtree on Thursday reported a 7.7% increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹1,251 crore. The company had reported net profit of ₹1,161.8 crore in the year-ago period. Its revenue from operations in the second quarter stood at ₹9,432.9 crore, a 5.9% increase compared to ₹8,905.4 crore in the same quarter last year. Its operating margin (EBIT) stood at 15.5% in the September quarter.
