Tamil Nadu was 217 for 2 in 60 overs when play was called off.

The final day's play can always be tricky, in particular when conditions are not familiar to you, but Jagadeesan with his stubborn effort and matured innings put to rest Assam's hopes of making inroads in the first session and putting Tamil Nadu under pressure.

Jagadeesan and Pradosh added 144 runs for the unbeaten third-wicket partnership, which put to rest Assam's hopes of achieving maximum points.
