Mr Sujay Bandyopadhyay, the Saha Sabhadhipati of Purulia zilla parishad met the injured TMC supporters at Deben Mahato Sadar Hospital.
He said that about 100 MGNREGA jobless workers had boarded the bus for New Delhi today and met with an accident near Koderma in Jharkhand.
At least 33 of them suffered injuries and they have been brought back in another bus to Purulia town and sent to hospital for treatment and first aid.
In the past one week two migrant workers of Purulia district have died in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
