A week after their historic cup victory over Hull KR, Adrian Lam's side lost ground on their French visitors in the race for top spot.
They shrugged off their post-final celebrations to lead 14-12 at the break, before running out of steam.
Leopards boss Lam said: "I am deflated because I wanted to win to get a crack at that first spot on the ladder. It was a game we could have won. But I don't want to take away anything from last week's victory.
