ZAK CRAWLEY may have transformed England's fortunes with a glut of runs in the Ashes - but the batter himself insists he is still the same bloke.

The Kent opener (above) went into the series as a man under pressure.

But by the time he had plastered the Australian bowling attack all over Old Trafford in a blistering innings of 189 in the fourth Test, he was one of the first names on the England team sheet.

A batter that young cricketers up and down the country are now falling over themselves to copy.

"I just feel like the same bloke who just got a few runs last week," said Crawley. "I'm sure, if I don't get any in India, you'll be saying what you used to be saying about me!
