THE Queen lapped up a canine dynasty over almost nine decades, with more than 30 corgis providing loyal companionship.

Dogs were ever-present in her life and 15 generations descended from Susan, the pup given to her on her 18th birthday in 1944.

The pooch was even hidden under blankets in the royal carriage when the Queen and Prince Philip went on honeymoon in 1947.

The Queen’s lifetime love of Pembroke Welsh Corgis began when she was seven.
