Speaking after a visit to Kyiv, he said it would be a "catastrophe" if Vladimir Putin was able to claim victory. Mr Johnson warned that the world was getting fed up with the war. He said: "The worry that we have is that a bit of Ukraine-fatigue is starting to set in around the world.
"It is very important to show that we are with them for the long haul and we are giving them that strategic resilience that they need."
In his talks with President Zelensky, Mr Johnson pledged Britain would be prepared to train tens of thousands of Ukrainian troops. He also added that Ukraine should be allowed to host Eurovision next year - despite safety concerns.
"It's going to be fine by the time the contest comes around, and I hope the Ukrainians get it because they deserve it," he said.
