EMMANUEL LATTE LATH became the first Boro striker since Brian Clough to score in seven successive games.

And it was made even better by the fact that Michael Carrick’s side finally won on the opening day of the season.

And it took them a whopping eight games to get off the mark 12 months ago.

It is more than 60 years since Teesside boasted a striker in such rich form as Latte Lath.

He could not stop scoring towards the end of last season as Boro just missed out on a place in the play-offs.
