Russian pacifist faces 10yrs in jail

TEEN HELD ON UKRAINE PLEA

A RUSSIAN student who called for peace in Ukraine is held in a court cage and could face up to 10 years in jail.

Olesya Kryvtsova, 19, was arrested by police who broke in to her home with a sledgehammer.

The teen was then charged with "discrediting the army" and "justifying terrorism".

Olesya has also been added to Moscow's list of extremists and terrorists and is being held under house arrest until her trial.

Her mother Natalia, 46, said: "Olesya is a pacifist - she spoke out against the war in Ukraine.
