The day UK went.. mad fer it

WITH 14 million bids for 1.4 million Oasis tickets, there was always going to be more looking back in anger than morning glory.

Sites crashed yesterday as "mad fer it" fans all around the world scrambled for tickets to Noel and Liam Gallagher's 17 reunion gigs, which kick off in July.

Virtual queues quickly formed on Ticketmaster, See Tickets and Gigs and Tours when the tickets for Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin went on sale at 9am.

Prices ranged from £73 to £506 for the premium package but within hours crafty touts were posting them on resale sites for far more. One exasperated fan shared a screenshot of an official site showing £151.25 tickets going for £356.80 due to "in demand" pricing.

Ticketmaster said such tickets are dynamically priced, adding: "Based on demand the prices may change."
