<p><strong>Jaipur:&nbsp;</strong>The mastermind of the explosion on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad rail route last weekend that led to a terror investigation was Thursday revealed to be a 32-year old man nursing a grudge against the railways and the mining company Hindustan Zinc for allegedly not compensating his family against 70 bigha of acquired ancestral land. The accused didn't intend to kill anyone, police said citing the preliminary probe findings.</p>

<p id="2">Investigators from the special operations group, anti-terrorism squad and Udaipur police claimed to have cracked the case after detaining Dhool Chand Meena, a resident of Eklingpura, 18-year-old fellow suspect Prakash Meena and another boy aged 17. The two teenagers are relatives of the prime accused.</p>
<p id="3">The police later took into custody a fourth suspect identified as Ankush Suvalka for allegedly selling the explosives used in the blast to Dhool Chand.</p>
<p id="4">Additional DGP (SOG and ATS) Ashok Rathod said Dhool Chand and his alleged accomplices planted the explosives on the Odha rail bridge around 35km from Udaipur after the newly introduced Udaipur-Asarwa Intercity Express passed that stretch after 5.30pm on Saturday. PM Narendra Modi had inaugurated the train on October 31.</p>

<p id="2">"Dhool Chand had been trying to secure compensation and employment since 2017 against the family land that was acquired by the railways and Hindustan Zinc," the DGP said. "We need to examine the compensation-related documents to verify what we know so far, including if the accused had any other motive."</p>
<p id="3">According to an official statement on the investigation, the railways and Hindustan zinc had acquired Dhool Chand&rsquo;s family land between the 1970s and 80s. The police said he and the coaccused rode a bike to the blast site and planted gelatin, a substance commonly used for blasting in mines that dot the area.</p>
