<p id="2">Of the seven transferred judges, three are from Telangana and two from AP.</p>
<p>In the first meeting on November 16 under new CJI Chandrachud, the collegium also comprising Justices Sanjay K Kaul, S Abdul Nazeer, K M Joseph and M R Shah had decided to transfer both Justice Kariel and Telangana HC&rsquo;s Justice Abhishek Reddy to Patna HC, sparking protests from both HC bar associations.</p>

<p id="1">During the resumed meeting on Thursday, the collegium remained firm on transferring Justice Abhishek Reddy from Telangana HC to Patna HC, but the CJI decided to look at Justice Kariel&rsquo;s case after Gujarat HC bar leaders submitted a memorandum terming him as an upright and bright judge and requested reconsideration. Some other leaders had also addressed letters to the CJI.</p>
<p id="2">&ldquo;The proposal relating to Justice Kariel&rsquo;s transfer was not put in the agenda of Thursday&rsquo;s collegium meeting,&rdquo; a source said.</p>
