Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) party chief Uddhav Thackeray said he did not agree with Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s views on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar but also questioned the BJP for not awarding the Hindutva icon the Bharat Ratna despite being in power for eight years.
“We don’t agree with what Rahul Gandhi has said. What has been said (by him) is wrong. We have immense love and respect for Savarkar. But not just Congress, to save the freedom for which Savarkar sacrificed, we are all coming together,” Thackeray said.
