New Delhi: Days after purported videos of AAP minister Satyendar Jain &ldquo;getting a massage and having a sumptuous meal&rdquo; inside a Tihar jail cell were released, a new clip showing housekeeping services going on inside the cell of the AAP functionary has emerged. BJP shared the video and stated that 8-10 people were providing &ldquo;housekeeping and VVIP services to Jain&rdquo;.
Reacting to the development, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal took a dig at BJP, calling it a &ldquo;video-making company, which would open video shops in every ward&rdquo;.
&ldquo;BJP&rsquo;s new guarantee to the people of Delhi &mdash; will open video shops in every ward. BJP is a video-making company. In this election, the public will give them the task of making videos and those who build schools and hospitals will be given the task of running the government,&rdquo; he tweeted. The footage was shared by several BJP functionaries and also shown during a press conference on Sunday at the party office. Jain has been lodged in Tihar since May 31 in a money laundering case registered by the Enforcement Directorate.
This is the fourth CCTV footage relating to the jailed minister that has emerged recently. The first purported visuals, which appeared on November 19, showed the minister getting a massage.
BJP functionary Sambit Patra said, &ldquo;The series of videos showing Jain enjoying VIP facilities in the Tihar jail is not a matter of social media memes or newspaper cartoons but also a matter of morality.&rdquo;
Jain had filed a plea before a court, seeking contempt proceedings against ED for allegedly leaking CCTV camera footage. Patra, however, said, &ldquo;These videos and information reaching us are not being provided by prison officials. These are being provided by their (AAP&rsquo;s) own and people close to Kejriwal.&rdquo;
Jain was being provided facilities in the jail despite Kejriwal claiming credit for ending VIP culture, he said.
