Party sources said some MPs voiced their grievance over ticket distribution, but were asked by Nadda to ensure proper outreach programmes in their constituency. A BJP MP said, &ldquo;The meeting was more of a session where the president listened to us. Some MPs talked about their grievance regarding ticket distribution.&rdquo;
The functionaries were told to organise a mass campaign on Sunday to focus on karyakartas instead of leaders. &ldquo;Last Sunday, there were big leaders. But next Sunday, there will be thousands of karyakartas in every ward who will come out of their homes and seek support for BJP,&rdquo; said a functionary, who was present in the meeting.
Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta said in the coming days, BJP would hold over 10,000 meetings across the city. &ldquo;Around 5,000 of these meetings will be held with women from different walks of life, including domestic workers, professionals, housewives, entrepreneurs, Anganwadi workers, among others,&rdquo; he added.
&ldquo;The party will go full throttle in campaigning for the MCD polls with its firebrand leaders, like UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and his Assam counterpart, campaigning for candidates in different parts of the city. At least two large public meetings of Yogi Adityanath will be held in two Lok Sabha constituencies, which will&nbsp;impact the adjoining constituencies too,&rdquo; said a Delhi BJP functionary.
Union home minister Amit Shah and defence minister Rajnath Singh would also seek votes and support for party candidates. The CMs of all BJP-led states would also campaign for the party in the coming days.
&ldquo;The focus would be on drawing room meetings and mohalla sabhas with 20-30 people instead of holding large meetings. The idea is to convince people and not show huge crowds. Many of us make the mistake of moving around with the same set of like-minded people and friends who will anyway vote for the party. We should not do that. Target the houses of those who are not traditional voters,&rdquo; said a senior functionary.
