Have you ever wished you could drop a new background behind an existing image to create a new piece of artwork but haven’t got an image of the new background that you actually want? This is where the Generative Fill tool in Photoshop 2024 can help.

Unlike previous content-aware fill modes, it can create an entirely new background, using AI. As Photoshop’s AI system uses its own stock library of royalty-free images, you can rest assured that whatever it comes up with isn’t going to draw the wrath of a litigious photographer in the future.
