Photographic Speciality/Style:
I love taking pictures in a romantic style and turning them into my special vintage look.
Short Bio:
I live in Vienna, am married and have three adult children. My hobbies are sports and photography.
About 15 years ago I was looking for a creative balance to my office job. I therefore completed an apprenticeship as a color and style consultant. After the consultations, I created 'before and after pictures' of my clients.
And I noticed that I enjoy taking photos more than the consultations. That's how I got into photography.
Your images are amazing. Tell us a bit about your story and how you ended up specializing in romantic vintage portrait photography?
When I started taking photographs, I studied the work of well-known photographers and painters.
David Hamilton became one of my greatest role models. I loved his romantic style, the soft look of his paintings and the fact that he only worked with natural light.
Of course, I failed when I tried to create his incomparable look - but over time I found my style.
Would you be able to give us a bit of insight as to how you go about planning & taking your images, from coming up with the initial concept through to creating the final product?
