What? An autofocus system that allows you to autofocus just by moving your eyeball? Yes, that’s correct. Canon had this feature in an earlier model, but the one in the EOS R3 uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) which the earlier system did not possess. The camera is designed for various genres of photographers – wildlife, sports & action, wedding and of course, for movie professionals (video, cinematography). Along with newer technology, the EOS R3, in my opinion, reigns supreme in Canon’s vast array of cameras.
Design & Build Quality
The camera body is built with magnesium alloy. It feels solid, and at the same time, is 30% lighter and 15% shorter than Canon’s 1 D X Mark III. Just like the 1 D X Mark III, the R3 also incorporates a vertical grip that provides fantastic support and ease of shooting in the vertical format. The body is weather sealed (not waterproof). The R3 body weighs 1015 g with battery and memory card. The body is made in Japan.
