THANK GOODNESS YOU'RE HERE is a riotous recreation of Yorkshire

REET GOOD TIME

It's hard to remember a game where I've laughed so much in such a short space of time. Not just a few titters here and there, but proper belly laughs. "Marge! Come on, hurry up! I'm eating for two here... and I'm pregnant!" yells one crazed lady waiting at the chippy. This is Thank Goodness You're Here, an indie puzzler with platforming elements that sees a travelling salesman visit the fictional town of Barnsworth only to be given increasingly odd jobs.

Born and bred in Yorkshire, I’ve been besotted by the idea of a game that is not only set in the region but leans hard into its humorous roots. It seems Thank Goodness You’re Here has been worth the wait with developer Coal Supper being able to push stereotypical tropes into surrealist slapstick territory to create a treasure trove of bizarre and interesting characters to fill this town.
