There's always been a dark side to the story of T Pinocchio, but transforming the famous puppet into a lean, mean, fighting machine is a bold choice for Korean developer Round8 Studio to make for its debut game, not to mention one that immediately gives off Bloodborne vibes.
The Belle Epoque-inspired city of Krat has the same gothic atmosphere and labyrinthian design as Yharnam, its denizens just as hostile in the form of murderous mechanoids patrolling the streets and rooftops. For souls like veterans, long wind-up animations may make these foes more readable but they can still easily punish careless or cocky players expecting to just race past them. Fortunately, your Pinocchio is equipped to deal with them: besides being able to make light and heavy attacks, you can use your puppet string like a grappling hook to pull enemies close towards you, while magic is also available if you'd prefer to keep your distance.
