Q: As Rolex is deeply associated with excellence and precision, how do you channel these qualities in your game, particularly when facing the unique challenges of Major events and team competitions like The Ryder Cup? J
JON RAHM (JR): My preparation does not really change. I think precision is the most important word in golf as there are so many different aspects and variables that you learn to compartmentalise and work on. This needs to be done slowly and precisely in order to improve. You can separate the parts of the game into three different categories - technique, mental aspects and performance. I can be hitting the same 100 yard shot where I am simply thinking about technique or where I am focusing on my mental process, or the distance of each shot. This can be done for every single aspect of the game.
Q: Rolex is known for its enduring partnerships. How has your relationship with Rolex evolved over time?
JR: When I first signed with Rolex, I was not even a PGA Tour member but I was trying to get my card which I did shortly after. I was a DP World Tour member so Rolex took a chance with me, and luckily it worked out for both of us.
When I first became sponsored by Rolex, it was a significant confidence booster. They are such an important brand with significant influence in the world. It provides you with the confidence to seek and accomplish your goals. I am now a two-time Major Champion. My position has changed since first signing with Rolex but the day-to-day hasn’t.
