Having a good time on and off the golf course at a social event are the keys to a fine day spent with friends. And having the chance to win great prizes, of course. All of these elements came together once again at the annual Golf Asia Masters. The 2024 edition of the tournament organised by Golf Asia Magazine, Media Group, was held at the beautiful and challenging Tampines Course at Tanah Merah Country Club.
The weather gods were kind and blessed the tournament with clear skies and bright sunshine. And when the golfers took to the Phil Jacobs-designed course, they were undoubtedly looking forward to winning one of the hole-in-one prizes. It would have been either a stroke of great luck, or a touch of amazing skills for anyone to score an ace on the difficult par-3 holes at Tampines. But they were certainly tempted by the fine list of prizes on offer which included a Mercedes-Benz CLA 180 sponsored by CarTimes, 120 bottled wine cellar filled with 120 bottles of wine from CornerStone, $30,000 worth of designer furnishings from W Atelier, and $100,000 in cash from HL Assurance.
Throughout the day, COBRA PUMA was on hand to present their latest range, the COBRA Darkspeed drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons. Golfers had a chance to test these clubs on selected holes while standing to win the numerous novelty prizes that included a COBRA Darkspeed X Fairway for Nearest to Line; COBRA Vintage Stingray Putter for Nearest to Pin; COBRA Darkspeed X Driver for Longest Drive; COBRA Snakebite Wedge for Into the Zone; and PUMA Phantomcat NITRO shoes for Inside the Circle.
