OUTLAW CAN PAY HIS WAY

KEMPTON March 18 (soft)
2m5f handicap hurdle (Class 2)
Decent form

OUTLAW PETER (Paul Nicholls) is a tall gelding with the scope to make a chaser. He produced a personal best to win with plenty to spare and remains handily treated off 135. This big boy looks the part and should earn a decent crust over fences next season.

2m4f110y handicap chase (Class 2)
Impressive winner

COMPLETE UNKNOWN (Paul Nicholls) could not have looked in better shape and was smashed off the boards near the off (11-4 to 7-4). He won without turning a hair, oozes class and must be followed. 2m national hunt flat (Class 5) Race that will produce winners

JACKPOT D’ATHOU (Paul Nicholls) was an expensive purchase from France (165,000euros) and looked a tad burly on his debut for Paul Nicholls. He ran a belter to finish third and will leave this form behind.

MONTECAM (Nicky Henderson) is a 300,000euro half-brother to the top class Altior. He looked in great nick for this debut and shaped better than his finishing position – sixth – suggests. He will know more next time and is decent long-term prospect.

LINGFIELD March 25 (standard)
1m three-year-old novice (Class 4)

Fair form

UMBERTO (Kevin Philippart De Foy) already has his summer coat but was easy to back near the off and couldn’t reel-in the front-running winner Maid In Kentucky. This fella looks the part and is nailed-on to improve over further on a stiffer track.

PLAYACTOR (Richard Hannon) was several press-ups short of peak fitness for this debut. Still, he caught the eye staying on into seventh and could be a useful handicapper in the making.
