After starting the first three games with Swallows on the left and right-wing after his move from NFD side Cape Town All Stars last July, the 26-year-old Capetonian spent much of the first half of the season as an unused substitute if he made the matchday squad.
It was during the break for the Africa Cup of Nations between January and February that Dylan Kerr, who took over as Swallows coach from Brandon Truter at the end of November, decided to try Solomons in the right-back position in a friendly against Orlando Pirates.
