RELIEF was etched all over Rob Edwards’ face as he saw his Luton Town side grab a dramatic late victory over Derby at Kenilworth Road.

Following Kayden Jackson’s 58th-minute header for the visitors, Town’s poor finishing meant another loss for Edwards’ men was on the cards.

But then Tom Holmes directed substitute Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu’s shot into the net in the 89th minute, before skipper Carlton Morris smashed in the winner three minutes later in added time.

Edwards lauded his side’s fighting spirit, saying: “I’m full of relief, I’m proud of the lads because we’ve found a way to win. I feel for Paul Warne, but I have pride in the lads for finding a way.

“The pitch is difficult and we were up against a physical team, it was horrible to watch, so I can understand why it was a difficult atmosphere.

“I’d love for everyone to be believing all the time, but we need to win games for people to be happy.”
