RUSSELL HAS LAST LAUGH ON BLUEBIRDS

Saints boss Martin was subject to vile chants by visiting supporters throughout the match.

After celebrating with Saints supporters he displayed four fingers at the Bluebirds fans following the match – in reference to the two back-to-back season doubles he secured against them as Swansea manager.

He said: “I had my time at the end. They had theirs’ over the 90 minutes so I enjoyed mine for ten seconds at the end.

“I’m sure there will be people who disagree with that, but I choose to feel everything and enjoy that.

“If you want to hammer me for 90 minutes then I’m allowed maybe ten seconds at the end.”

Adam Armstrong’s helped the Saints extend their longest unbeaten run for 19 seasons.
