TEDDY AIMS TO BAG FOREST TIE

FOREST Green midfielder Teddy Jenks admits there will be no room for sentiment if he gets the opportunity to heap pressure on the man who once selected him for his country.

Jenks scored for England Under-17s against Sweden in the 2019 European Championships finals when Steve Cooper was the team’s manager.

Now 21, he will be part of the Rovers team hoping to secure an FA Cup trip to Cooper’s Nottingham Forest – the reward for the winners of Tuesday’s second-round tie at Blackpool.

Jenks teed up Matty Stevens for the final goal in a 4-2 midweek win to finally settle the thrice-played first-round contest with Scarborough.

That one-off match in North Yorkshire was staged after Forest Green were punished for not informing the FA they had permission to play a loan player in the original encounter between the two teams.
