In a sea of samey smartphones, can Asus's pint-sized Zenfone 10 be the one-handed wonder to rule the waves?

For a phone with a screen size of less than 6in, the Zenfone 10 is chunky; but the flat sides are easy to hold, and the bio-based plastic back is quite grippy while managing not to feel cheap. This is one of the lightest flagships around.

Yep, we mean flagship, because the Zenfone 10 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and up to 16GB of RAM - and it doesn't get much better than that. You shouldn't suffer any slowdown, and the only time we got it to heat up was after cranking the framerate while gaming.

The Zenfone 10 runs Android 13, but you can customise how the OS looks whether that's to keep it close to stock or add some Asus flourishes. These are designed to make the phone better for one-handed use.... and they work.

It's really not what you expect from a major publisher these days, but Capcom's curious blend of action, real-time strategy and tower defence is one of the most original games you'll play all year. From its colourful costumes to a pastoral message of healing nature, Kunitsu-Gami is proudly Japanese in its inspirations. Your masked warrior is on a mission to help a divine maiden purge a mountain of an evil 'defilement'... but this is no Link/Zelda dynamic: you'll also rely on villagers to help you beat back monsters.
