Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills

BACKGROUND

This 16-storey property opened in 1987 and is often used as a venue for Hollywood's film and press events. Its nearby sister property, the Beverly Wilshire, is well-known as a location in Pretty Woman.

WHERE IS IT?

On South Doheny Drive in Beverly Hills, a 15-minute palm-fringed walk to Rodeo Drive.

The concierge can arrange car transfers to/from LAX, which is a 30 minute drive from the hotel, or you can use the Four Seasons app to arrange airport transfers.

WHAT'S IT LIKE?

The large, luxe hotel fits right into the Beverly Hills landscape with its leafy driveway, a bellman to welcome you, a red carpet-like entry and a statue of Marilyn Monroe.

Interiors are light and airy thanks to large glass windows, and natural light reflects off glitzy chandeliers. Striking floral installations by Jeff Leatham provide character.

The ground floor has a concierge and reception, meeting areas and the Culina Ristorante and lounge bar. There's a UPS shop for printing, shipping and business centre needs, and a Krigler boutique.

At check-in, I was offered a glass of Champagne or water, and the process was simple. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out at 12pm.
