Kate's private anguish 'HARRY IS TEARING US APART'

Three months after being published, Prince Harry's memoir Spare is still causing waves, including rocking the marriage of his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Catherine, Princess of Wales.

The pair were both livid at him for some of the criticisms levelled at them in the tell-all book, but there's also ongoing tension between the two of them because Kate is mad that William, 40, did not publicly defend her over some of the claims Harry made.

According to a palace source, the book has taken a toll on the couple's relationship because Kate, 41, is "increasingly upset that her husband hasn't snapped back at his brother. Kate felt William should stick up for her more. Yet William and the palace thought that saying nothing was best."

In Spare, Harry, 38, initially wrote that he was very happy William was marrying Kate and described her as "the sister I never had and always wanted". He said she and William "made each other visibly happy and therefore I was happy too".

However, things turned sour after he began dating US actress Meghan Markle. He claims Meghan, 41, ended up sobbing after a run-in with Kate over bridesmaids' dresses in the lead-up to their wedding in May 2018. It had earlier been reported that it was Kate, who'd just given birth to Prince Louis, who was in tears following the clash.

In Spare, Harry also details how, about a month after their wedding, he and Meghan met with William and Kate at Kensington Palace to "clear the air".
