When Demi Moore's marriage to Ashton Kutcher W crumbled in 2011, it seemed to the actress her whole world had collapsed along with it.
The Hollywood A-lister spiralled into a pit of despair, turning to alcohol and drugs for comfort.
Eleven years later, the Ghost star, 59, is back on top of the world, having welcomed love back into her life via handsome Swiss chef Daniel Humm.
The pair, who met through mutual friends earlier this year, have become a fully-fledged item, photographed snuggling up to each other at the tennis French Open in Paris last month and singing each other's praises on social media.
"You don't come into this life to be anything other than happy," Demi has previously said. And right now, she is.
So who is this mystery man who has captured the heart of one of the world's most famous actresses?
While movie buffs might not know much about him, food connoisseurs certainly do. After moving to the US from his native Switzerland in 2003, Daniel, 46, has established a name for himself as a top-tier restaurateur.
Now based in New York, the three Michelin star chef (a prestigious award for outstanding cuisine) owns, among others, the upscale Manhattan eatery Eleven Madison Park.
He and Demi, say insiders, have plenty in common, including both being the parents of three girls.
Demi, of course, shares her three daughters - Rumer, 33, Scout, 30, and Tallulah, 28 with her second husband, Bruce Willis, 67.
