Riley's all shook up  'I'M FOLLOWING' IN ELVIS' FOOTSTEPS'

The King of Rock's granddaughter has a hit on her hands
Riley's all shook up  'I'M FOLLOWING' IN ELVIS' FOOTSTEPS'

For fans of '70s classic rock, the show Daisy Jones & the Six is a humdinger. Following the crazy trajectory of F a Fleetwood Mac-style band, it has it all-cool characters, catchy music, great fashion, bad habits and an ill-advised love triangle.

At the centre of the action is rock queen Daisy Jones herself and fans could be forgiven for thinking actress Riley Keough has been belting out tunes behind a mic for years. After all, she has a mesmerising stage presence, a formidable voice and a startling family background: she's the granddaughter of Elvis Presley.

Despite being descended from rock 'n' roll royalty, however, Riley had no musical knowledge when she was chosen for the part.

"I don't consider myself a singer," says the 33-year-old, who has had a mostly low-profile acting career since the age of 20. "My previous experience was singing in the shower. That's pretty much it!" Now, it seems, she's well on her way to following in her famous granddad's footsteps.

Born in 1989, Riley is the eldest child of Elvis' only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, and Lisa Marie's first husband, actor/musician Danny Keough.

Lisa Marie and Danny split when Riley was five years old, and from that moment on, she had a foot in two very different camps: as heir to Elvis' mega-million dollar empire, Lisa Marie was able to give her and younger brother Benjamin every luxury. Danny, however, was the opposite.
