After growing up with Little House on the Prairie dad Michael, life on the Dutton family ranch wasn't such a stretch
Yellowstone star's pedigree past: 'I'M PAINGALLS' DAUGHTER'

As loud, quirky and up-for-anything ranch hand Teeter, actress Jennifer Landon has become everyone’s favourite cowgirl on acclaimed TV drama Yellowstone.

To her legion of fans, she seems like a fresh new face in Hollywood, but nothing could be further from the truth.

“People are often like, ‘This is your first acting job?’” laughs the 39-year-old. “And I’m like, ‘Nope.’”

In fact, as the daughter of Hollywood icon Michael Landon – he of Little House on the Prairie fame – Jennifer has been acting since the age of five. It’s just that, up until now, no one much has noticed.

“Often, as an actor, there is a feeling that you’re not reaching anyone. Like, ‘Am I doing this for anyone besides myself?’” muses Jennifer, who has in recent years appeared in top-rating shows including Banshee, Animal Kingdom and FBI: Most Wanted. “But the fans of Yellowstone are so giving and so engaged.”

The eighth of Michael Landon’s nine children to three wives, Jennifer was born in 1983, by which time her famous father had already cemented his place in Hollywood with 14 years as “Little Joe” Cartwright in popular TV western Bonanza and nine years as Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie.
