Setting up the camera, we all posed, smiling. Spending the
entire morning getting ready for a wedding, it was the perfect opportunity to get some family pictures.
Twirling in their pretty dresses, our daughters Daisy, then 14-months, and Immi, then three, were very excited.
Daisy had her pink bunny in tow—it never left her side.
‘Let me get one of you three} my husband Ross, 30, said.
So, I sat down on our living room floor with Daisy and Immi either side of me.
‘Ah, that one’s lovely of you all} he said.
Only, I noticed something...
There was a strange white glow on Daisy’s right eye.
‘What's that?’ Lasked Ross.
‘Maybe it’s something on the camera; he said.
So, cleaning the lens, we took some more photos with Daisy.
But no matter what position she was in, or what camera we used, it was still there.
‘It looks like a glacé cherry!’ Ross said.
Not wanting it to ruin the day, I pushed the thought to the back of my mind.
And looking at Daisy in the flesh, her eye looked completely normal.
Were we just seeing things?
Only, looking back at the wedding photos the following week, I knew that something was definitely wrong.
‘Let’s take Daisy y to the doctors; I t said to Ross. Tmsureshe just needs glasses or something; Ross reassured me.
But we thought it was best to check it out, just in case.
So, the following week, we took Daisy to our local surgery.
And my motherly instincts were right.
Shining a torch, the doctor seemed to be taking his time.
I can see there is something in the back of Daisy's right eye, he told us.
