From being called ‘a disgrace’ to being accused of money grabbing, Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway have faced the wrath and barbed tongues of viewers in recent weeks.
Arguably two of the most well known – and loved – presenters on TV, the duo are facing fresh and nasty attacks.
Last month, Ofcom was flooded with complaints after GMB viewers branded Susanna, 53, and her co-star Richard Madeley biased and ‘unprofessional’ following their interview with MP George Galloway. Meanwhile, grieving Kate Garraway, 57, has also been targeted by keyboard warriors since losing her husband, Derek Draper, with some even callously accusing her of exploiting him by releasing a documentary after his death.
‘Dreadful’ Susanna
Susanna and Richard interviewed George Galloway following his win at the Rochdale by-election in March, after which Prime Minister Rishi Sunak had expressed his disapproval of the MP’s views on the October terror attack in Israel by Hamas, saying George was ‘a candidate who dismisses the horror of what happened on October 7th, who glorifies Hezbollah and was endorsed by Nick Griffin’. On GMB George Galloway was questioned about Rishi’s claims, but fans weren’t impressed with the way Richard and particularly Susanna interviewed the MP.
