Coming out of the worst of COVID-19 was a relief for everyone but, I’ll be honest, one of the downsides for me was the realisation that I had to get out of scrubs and into actual clothes. For those of you who have never had the pleasure of a comfy pair of scrubs, I can tell you they are most forgiving on the waistline, especially for the dreaded bloat.
I’m sure we’ve all had that moment where we finish a big meal and hurriedly undo our belt with a sigh of relief. Bloating is relatively common, often brought on by certain food, drink or a bowel disorder, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which causes gas to build up. It can make your stomach look swollen and be uncomfortable for a short time, though should then pass.
