In Dame Emma Thompson’s sensational new film, Good Luck To You, Leo Grande, she plays a widow and former teacher called Nancy who's spent her whole life feeling unsatisfied with sex.

Her character finally reaches a climax at the age of 55, and Emma has revealed her shock at discovering that 15% of women have never had an orgasm. Ever.

And according to the International Academy of Sex Research, while 95% of men usually or always orgasm during sex, only 65% of women are hitting the pinnacle of pleasure.

Emma said recently: ‘Nobody cares about women’s pleasure. Men’s pleasure has always been made more important… a lot of men think if you just twiddle the clitoris, women go off like Catherine wheels.’
